Maxime Marchandise – Sound Engineer | Mixing & Mastering

As a sound engineer specializing in mixing and mastering, I pay close attention to every detail to enhance the sound while preserving the artist’s vision. A graduate of SAE, I have developed a precise technical approach, combining critical listening with advanced expertise in both digital and analog processing.

I have had the opportunity to work on over 300 projects, collaborating with both emerging talents and renowned artists.

Every production is approached with the same technical rigor: spectral balance, dynamic control, stereo imaging optimization, and a constant search for the perfect sonic texture to deliver a faithful and impactful result.

I also completed an internship in the sound laboratory of a major radio station, where I refined my skills in frequency analysis, audio processing, and adaptation to various broadcast formats.

Whether working on electronic or acoustic productions, my goal is to bring depth, clarity, and impact while ensuring a professional sound tailored to industry standards—be it for streaming, live sound, or physical releases.

In parallel, my eight years of experience as an artist in the electronic music scene allow me to understand the expectations of musicians and producers, fine-tuning my work to meet both artistic and technical demands.

Mastering : :

For hybrid mastering, I use powerful processing plug-ins (Flux::, Alliance, Weiss, DMG...). I then add dynamic processing and a bit of analogue colour. That way I get the best of both worlds.

Mixing + Mastering : :

This service provides a complete mix of your track from start to finish, with meticulous attention to every aspect of your creation. The key requirement is that your composition is fully realized in terms of structure, sounds, and concept. This means the arrangement and sound design are complete, and that effects like delay, reverb, chorus, etc., are already in place.

I can also manage the effects if needed, but this depends on each artist's preferences and deserves an in-depth discussion to ensure the final result aligns with your vision. My goal is to balance and enhance each element of the track to produce a mix that’s both powerful and cohesive. This service also includes mastering, as this process is essential to finalize the sound and bring it to a professional level.

Stems Mastering : :

Stem mastering is a precise and flexible approach to optimizing a musical production by working with separate groups of instruments rather than a single stereo track. This method involves detailed analysis and targeted intervention: each stem – such as vocals, drums, or harmonic instruments – is processed individually to ensure it contributes harmoniously to the overall balance of the track. This level of detail allows for specific adjustments without compromising the integrity of the whole, offering greater flexibility to correct imperfections or enhance particular elements.

Audio restoration : :

Audio restoration involves repairing and enhancing recordings by removing imperfections such as background noise, clicks, or distortions, while preserving the natural character of the sound. This service applies to podcasts, dialogue, or music as well as physical media like vinyl records and cassette tapes.

The goal is to clean the recordings and, if necessary, restore any altered elements to bring back optimal sound quality. Each intervention is tailored to respect the essence and unique qualities of the recording. More than just a technical fix, audio restoration breathes new life into these recordings, ensuring they are ready for smooth and enjoyable listening, reaching a new audience.
